Trump is a loser, leading America to a train wreck

While other politicians were working their way up through the system, usually starting with school board or city council seats, only gradually going to the state and then, with some luck, national level, Donald Trump was knocking on Jeffrey Epstein's door. And going in. Epstein started with no money, and spotted Trump for an idiot with a big ego and just enough brains to hire others to do the real work. And blame others when his businesses (most of them) failed. They both liked female, ahem, "companionship," and even there Jeffrey did way, way better than Donald.

Both avoided the Vietnam War era draft. Hence Trump's nickname, Ol' Bonespurs. I have not been able to find how Epstein escaped service, but my guess would also be that he faked something or other. We know he faked his college degree when he got his first finance job at Bear Stearns.

Now Trump has been given his favorite hot rod, the American Government, to drive again. He has already wrecked critical components. He looks like he'll crash the government and the economy the way he crashed his New Jersey casinos. No one is able to explain how the U.S. will be able to continue to pay the interest on the national debt.

Every sleazeball in the nation is tagging along for the ride. The House of Lords are the petroleum companies and Big Tech. The fake coin makers and Tesla stock promoters are enjoying the ride too. A lot of ordinary people who got conned into voting for Donald are suffering. How many will continue to believe that a few thousand transsexuals are what is really causing their problems? Hard to say. Whatever their other faults, Donald and Jeffrey are excellent con artists. Their approaches are different, since Trump was born a billionaire, and Jeffrey was born poor.

If they were just wrecking the American political system and the economy, I would not mind so much. But Trump is destroying the world. He is promoting of fossil fuel while criminalizing the renewable energy industry. He is destroying government institutions that protect the environment, which will be hard to rebuild. He is doing this at a time when the earth is crossing tipping points that will be very hard, if not impossible, to recross.

This Trump stage of the Slow Motion Apocalypse shows how poorly equipped most people are to make desisions during slow but complex processes. We evolved to run from predators, and stalk potential food, not to think in hundred year cycles.

Much as I would like to see an environmentalist army wipe out the global petroleum industry, at this point the choices for effective action are narrower. In the United States we need to defeat the pro-Trump forces, which means electing more Democrats to the House of Representatives. That is not easy. Politics is a multiple issue problem. Most Americans do not prioritize the environment. They prioritize their pocketbooks, or sometimes their claims to moral righteousness. Most do not even follow the real news anymore. How can you make good decisions when your inputs are a stew of internet garbage?

Ten years in to trying to work with the Democrats, I feel your frustration. We need better Democrats. If you could be one, please join your local Democratic Party organization, fight for the environment, and consider running for office.

These are dark days, to be sure. Please do not capitulate. Fight the Trumps and Epsteins, the Oil executives and owners, the local con-artist pols. Support those who stand up to the oilogarchy. And help Green the American people and the Democratic Party.
