John Fitzgerald Kennedy ("Jack," "JFK") was the 35th President of the United States of America. Born May 29, 1917, he was elected President in 1960, defeating Richard M. Nixon. He took office on January 20, 1961 and died in office after being assassinated on November 22, 1963.
