Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt was the 26th President of the United States of America. He became president on September 14, 1901 when William McKinley died. He was elected President in 1904 and served until March 4, 1909. He was a war criminal, being both an architect of the Spanish-American War before he became President, and presiding over the U.S. War Against the Philippines. He was a member of the Republican Party, but later formed his own party, the United States Progressive Party.
